Mom, Dad, and Ellie at Jordon Pond.
Last week we went to Bar Harbor, Maine. Bar Harbor is on an island called Mount Desert Island. This is our second trip and we consider it our home away from home. We dream of being there constantly. I love the salty sea air, the lobster boats, and sounds the boats make. The fall color is incredible and you can walk everywhere. My pictures can not do the place justice. I want to post so many seeing that I took over 1000 pics. so hopefully more pics to come. I just wanted to give you a taste of what we did. I have included a song on the blog that reminds me of Maine and my sentiments toward it.

I could not help trying to catch the feel of fall. This walkway lead to our hotel the
Harborside.

This is Ellie at Jordon Pond.It was so fun! We were able to pull out our sweaters and toboggans in October.

Another view of Jordon Pond. It was so beautiful this time of year.

This is one of my favorite views of the Bar Harbor Inn.
We ate there for supper one night on our real first date since we have had Ellie. If you are ever in Bar Harbor, this is the place to go. And yes! The sky was that blue that day.

Mimi, Papa, and Ellie on the shore path by the Bar Harbor Inn.

This is us at Frenchman's Bay.

The Bass Harbor Lighthouse.
We took a historical lighthouse tour and saw five different lighthouse. This was just one of them. Bar Harbor has several tours you can take including a great whale watch but this trip we wanted to see the lighthouses.
Somesville Bridge and our favorite town.
There are many towns and harbors on Mount Desert Island (
MDI). This was just one and they are all so quaint. I am still ready to pack my bags right now and move.

This is the Margret Todd. We love this boat but have never actually been on it.
Another trip tip, if you are ever there they have sunset cruises that are supposed to be wonderful.

Here we are again! In front of the Bar Harbor Inn.
We ate a picnic lunch out here one day and watched the ships and lobster men come in. We had so much fun!

Ellie is enjoying her ride back to the airport in Bangor.
We rented a vehicle and got bumped up to a Hummer which was interesting. So, Ellie rode around in a Hummer all week. Ellie loves her
Minnie so I was excited to capture this moment.
I hope you have enjoyed some of our pictures. I hope to post a lot more, but this was about all I could handle at one time. We hope you enjoyed "Our far away place"!
